For the past week, I have been behind the wheel of the 2022 Mazda CX-9 Signature. After commuting to work and driving it around town I wanted to do as I normally do and tell you just what features warrant your money and what might let you down.
PRO: Quality Interior for the Money
I realize I am saying the 2022 Mazda CX-9 Signature has a quality interior for its price point, but really it is a quality interior for any money. It is really punching well above its weight in the interior department.
PRO: Simplistic Infotainment System
So many OEM infotainment systems are more complicated than they need to be. You are likely to enable Android Auto or Apple Carplay anyway, so don’t be difficult when we don’t connect our phones. Luckily, the 2022 Mazda CX-9 Signature has simply 5 main menu options: Information, Entertainment, Communication, Navigation, and Settings.
PRO: Comfortable Driving Experience
The driver seat of the 2022 Mazda CX-9 Signature is just a great place to be. Anyone above 6 feet will be comfortable for long distances and anyone below 6 feet will be in heaven.
PRO: One of the Best Looking SUVs
Very subjective, but when it is a looker I always like to lop it into the PRO column. The 2022 CX-9 Signature does look good on the exterior.
CON: 3rd Row Is Okay
The 2022 CX-9 Signature has a third row. Great, when advertised they aren’t lying, but really it is for kids and the marketing communications.
CON: Waisted Digital Gauge Cluster
The CX-9 features a near hidden to the eye digital gauge cluster in between its more analog gauges. In my opinion, it is simply a wasted cost. It is just imitating an analog gauge and duplicating the fuel gauge. I would have liked to see something special on the digital screen.
