I was handed the keys to a new 2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature and after spending some time with it I want to tell you all about its best and worst features. Here are the PROS and CONS of the 2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature.
PRO: Simple Functional Infotainment

The infotainment system in the 2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature is simple. There are only 5 options to cycle through. It is functional and just works, there is no added fluff you can easily find everything you need.
PRO: Comfortable Driving Experience

The CX-5 is one of the most comfortable rides you can have on the road. The cabin is a comfortable place to be no matter your size and the vehicle soaks up whatever crap roads you throw at it. Long commutes were made a bit easier behind the wheel of the CX-5.
PRO: One of the Best Looking in Class

Looks are obviously very subjective, so I won’t harp to long on this Pro, but the Mazda CX-5 is one of the best-looking crossover/SUVs you can buy. The edges, the front, it all goes together and looks great from all angles.
PRO: Strong Engine

The CX-5 isn’t aiming to be a performance-oriented crossover/SUV, but that doesn’t mean the engine performance isn’t a significant positive. There are two engine options a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine or a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-4.
The non-turbo gets 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, while the turbocharged one you want kicks out 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque to pull you around town.
CON: Not That Fuel Efficient

Much of the CX-5s competitors are making a push to get as close to 30 miles per gallon as they can, but while they fall short, they don’t fall as short as the CX-5.
The non-turbo gets 24 city, 30 highway, and a combined 26 miles per gallon, while the turbocharged variant gets 22 city, 27 highway, and a combined for 24 miles per gallon.
