I have been fortunate to spend a week behind the wheel of the Genesis G70. The G70 is Genesis’s embodiment of luxury and performance and their attempt to take over the segment. I am going to take you through which features are shining stars and which need some help while I take you through the PROs and CONs of the 2024 Genesis G70.
PRO: Luxury Interior
The 2024 Genesis G70 comes packed with quite the interior. Premium materials and features are sprinkled throughout the cabin such as premium leather and loaded technology.
PRO: Performance Driving Experience
While a luxury sedan when you put your right foot down what you get is a performance driving experience. The G70 might not have industry leading power figures, but it will give the experience you get in some of the big performance names in the segment a run for their money.
PRO: Looks Angry
The G70 looks quite the angry performance vehicle standing still.
PRO: Theater of Sport Mode
The G70 comes packed with a bunch of drive modes allowing you to swap between Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ modes, and if that isn’t enough you can even pick he best of all worlds in your own Custom mode. One of the best things about the drive modes is in the Sport Modes the digital speedometer gets a little red and all, but the seats literally grab you.
CON: No Full Digital Gauge Cluster
While the G70 is loaded with tech, the driver gauge cluster is only 2/3rd digital. The odometer is an analog gauge next to the center/speedometer digital screen. If you are going to do it, then do it 100% full digital display please.
CON: Tight Rear Leg Space
The G70 so badly wants to be a coupe, so much that that second row has quite the lack of leg room.
