I had the keys to the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE for a week. I have covered this generation Toyota Camry pretty extensively, so I didn’t want to leave the 2023 Camry out to dry. I am going to hit you with the two main PROs and two main CONs
PRO: Hybrid Camry
It is a Hybrid Camry. Everything that comes with owning a Toyota Camry is there, but you also get all the positive features of owning a Hybrid to with it. Even better fuel efficiency, EV mode, and hybrid energy monitoring screens are all combined with a Camry.
PRO: Drivers Seat
Not the actual seat, which does its job, but actually driving in the seat in this Camry is just a very comfortable place to be.
CON: Dated Infotainment
I have just been hopping, skipping, and jumping between some of Toyota’s newest lineup with its newest huge screened infotainment system. After experiencing it in the new Tundra and Sequoia, this infotainment is quite dated. But don’t fix what isn’t broken I suppose.
CON: Pointless Drive Modes (except EV mode)
The 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE comes with a few drive-mode buttons you can choose between. Eco, Normal, and Sport are at your disposal as well as that EV mode to unlock some of the electricity you have been earning. Besides the EV mode, these drive modes are all but pointless. Eco should be normal, as you are in a Hybrid Camry, and there shouldn’t be a Sport. You’re not going to be hitting track days in this thing.
