That’s right car addicted junkies, I’m back with another squared-jawed Swede. I think we can all agree by now that the Volvo XC90 is nothing short of extraordinary. Actually, all new Volvos these days are, simply put, nothing more than a healthy dose of Swedish ass-kicking sent to us from the almighty Norse gods.
And while I can’t wait to review the all new S90 sedan, scheduled for late January, Volvo Canada has offered me a chance to quench my thirst by throwing me the keys to another XC90. This time, however, it’s the range topping, Twin Engine T8 – essentially the most expensive vehicle in Volvo’s lineup, and rolling proof that you have absolutely no reason to buy a brand new Range Rover.
The XC90 is one of those vehicles that you instantly know will be epic even before getting into it. But I was curious to find out how that complicated (very complicated) drivetrain stacked up in the real world in both fuel economy and performance.
So of course, faithful to who I am, I did another review of the thing. Also, one of the photos in that article is a contender for Exiting Cars Like a BAMF Part 2, which is actually a thing coming soon.
