Ah man, don’t get me started on these 7-seater, car-based SUVs. I’m not sure what’s more annoying: the fact that carmakers keep shoveling down our throats the notion that they’re legitimate adventure vehicles, or that instead of being actual trucks, they’re in fact stretched and lifted midsize sedans whose physical characteristics lean more towards minivan territory than actual rock-climbing material.
The Nissan Pathfinder is probably the saddest example this. Get this: it can actually be ordered in front-wheel drive only form – a sacrilege to a nameplate that was born out of desert conquering offroad adventure. Truth is, the fact that the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has evolved into the bandcamp mobile it is today is not only a fascinating example of an automobile evolving to the realities of the modern world, but a testament to how much the average family doesn’t give a shit about driving dynamics. People are actually buying these things in bulk.
Whatever, I still need to review them don’t I? So here it is guys, enjoy.
