The 2020 Lexus LC500 is more than just a car, and it really doesn’t take long to figure that out. Just the mere presence of the car sitting stationary in my parking lot at work created a commotion. People stopping to gawk and then immediately walked in asking “hey, who got the raise”. This happened near instantaneously after I added some color the drab lineup of cars. The draw of the LC is real, and all this was just what happened while parked.
Gorgeous Inside
Getting into the LC500 is a treat and an event in itself. The “Toasted Caramel” leather and Alcantara swallows you whole. Looking and feeling around the interior, you can tell not a single surface was forgotten. The small backseat doesn’t even matter, plus they are still large enough for offspring. The front seats are designed perfectly, supporting every part of your body as if they were designed for you alone. This car is all about the driver and whoever is lucky enough to ride with them.
Gorgeous Outside
The “Flare Yellow” paint is also aptly named. People see you and move, respecting the presence of the car. Or at least expecting you to blow by them. People wave, truckers give thumbs up.
Then you hit the gas.
Sure the 5.0L, 471 horsepower V8 proves to be quick, but more importantly, it adds a level of drama beyond what just its styling can accomplish. The sound of the titanium exhaust can only be compared to that of a race car. If someone manages to somehow miss seeing the car itself, they definitely do not miss the sound.
Really, the 2020 Lexus LC500 speaks for itself. Just look at it. It’s drama, class and beauty all at wrapped into one single package. The LC is a concept car that somehow made it to the street, a task not many automakers are willing to risk. It’s more than just a car.
