Genesis recently handed me the keys to the 2025 GV80 Coupe, a bold and stylish entry that fuses luxury SUV comfort with the flair of a coupe-like silhouette. With its premium materials, advanced tech, and punchy performance, the GV80 Coupe is clearly aimed at drivers who want elegance without sacrificing excitement.
In this review, I’ll take a closer look at the PROs and CONs of the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe to help you decide if it’s the right fit for your next upscale ride.
PRO: Interior Quality
The interior of the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe is sprinkled with premium materials like Nappa leather, real wood, and carbon-fiber trim, and a beautiful 27-inch curved OLED display seamlessly blends the digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, adding to the cabin’s modern luxury vibe.
PRO: Performance

The 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe delivers impressive performance. The GV80 I tested featured the e-Supercharger which provides 409 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. Combined with all-wheel-drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the GV80 Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 5.2 seconds.
PRO: Mood Curator

Beyond “simple” luxury features, the GV80 is packed with a bunch of unique features that stand out from competitors such as the innovative “Mood Curator” feature, allowing drivers to personalize the cabin ambiance with tailored music, lighting, and fragrances for a multisensory experience.
PRO: Drive Modes

The 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe offers plenty of drive modes including Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Snow, and the My Drive Mode. My Drive Mode is a custom mode allowing the driver to pick and chose the best of every mode.
CON: Rear Cargo Space

The rear cargo area of the GV80 doesn’t provide the most ample space. Due to the sportback-like styling anything higher than a standard tote won’t fit. However, you can basically flatten the rear seats which does reveal more space.
CON: Annoying Drivers Eye Warnings

One annoying thing I noticed while driving was the constant driver eye warnings I was getting. I assume it was because of wearing sunglasses while driving the GV80 didn’t know where my eyes were.
