Ike talks racing with seven time SCCA road racing champion Don Knowles. Don just placed 6th in the Touring 4 class last weekend at SCCA Runoffs at Mid-Ohio, an impressive result among the lighter MX-5s and Toyobarus. They discuss how Don got started in racing by driving autocross and corner working at track events, what he’s driven throughout his long racing career, and the differences he’s noticed in race cars over the years. They also discuss the VIR Driving Club, his work with them as an instructor, and what’s involved with on-track instruction, as well as his work with GM on product development and his dabbling in automotive journalism.
