Recently, I had the opportunity to explore the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, a SUV that perfectly balances style and practicality. With its bold exterior lines and sporty silhouette, the Atlas Cross Sport makes a strong impression on the road while offering a spacious and versatile interior. This model combines advanced technology with a spirited driving experience, catering to both adventure-seekers and families alike.
In this review, I’ll break down the PROs and CONs of the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport to help you determine if this dynamic and feature-rich SUV is the ideal fit for your next vehicle purchase.
PRO: Very Torquey Engine
I swear the Atlas Cross Sport thinks it is a sedan, not only that it thinks it is a performance sedan. This thing moves better from a standstill than most performance vehicles I have tested.
PRO: Drives Like a Sedan
Not only does the engine provide the feel of a performance sedan, overall the Atlas Cross Sport drives around town less like a SUV and more like a sedan.
PRO: Interior Tech
The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport give the driver so much tech at your fingertips. It features a crisp touchscreen display, seamless smartphone integration, and available premium audio options for an immersive driving experience. Additionally, the vehicle offers advanced driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, enhancing both safety and convenience on the road.
PRO: Interior Space/Rear Leg Room
The Atlas Cross Sport offers generous interior space, comfortably accommodating five passengers with ample headroom and legroom in both the front and rear seats. Its well-designed cabin ensures that even taller occupants can stretch out, making it an ideal choice for families and long road trips.
CON: Too Much Touch
Relying too heavily on touch-sensitive controls, the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is less intuitive and slower to respond compared to traditional knobs and buttons. This reliance on touchscreen functionality may distract drivers, as they have to navigate menus rather than quickly adjusting settings with tactile controls.
CON: No Third Row
Those wanting three rows will be let down. The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is designed with a two-row seating configuration, which may limit its appeal for larger families seeking the convenience of a third row. While it offers ample space for five passengers, those needing extra seating capacity might find the Atlas Cross Sport less versatile compared to its three-row counterpart, the standard Atlas.
