The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line is Volkswagen’s newest foray into the crossover SUV segment with a twist on adding luxury in all of the right places.
With this R-Line trim level elevates the Tiguan is packed with advanced features, spacious accommodations, and a refined driving experience. Enjoy just which of the features wooed me and what left me wanting more. here are the PROs and CONs of the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line:
PRO: Interior Space
The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan offers spacious room all around. The front row gets the most elbow room, but the second row is certainly not neglected
PRO: R-Line Exterior Looks
The R-Line trim Tiguan is the best looking Tiguan. Overall the body gets more sporty pieces sprinkled about like the bumper, side skirts, and grill. Same goes for the wheels. It all looks best with the R-Line.
PRO: Crisp Clear Displays
With the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line you get a crisp clear 10.25 inch digital gauge cluster which features the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro as well as another crisp clear digital infotainment screen all showcasing the vehicle information, entertainment features, and navigation features as well. Not to mention some drive modes too!
PRO: Smooth Ride
How a vehicle rides cannot be measured that easy with words, but I assure you the ride in the 2024 Tiguan is remarkably smooth. The engineers at Volkswagen clearly did some refining and whether you are on bumpy city streets or a smooth highway you are going to have a great ride. All definitely assisted by the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.
CON: R-Line Is Pricey
While a base Tiguan S starts at $28,880 the SEL R-Line costs exactly $10k more at $38,880. Hard to swallow that.
CON: Interior Materials
Along with the beautiful crisp clear displays and leather premium bits sprinkled about the cabin, if you look closely there is definitely some less than premium bits sprinkled in of the hard plastic variety.
