The 2017 GMC Acadia may seem like just some other mall finder in the likes of the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander or Nissan Pathfinder, but under its minivan like sheet metal, this family shuttle hides some pretty innovative, honest-to-goodness American engineering.

The Acadia also boasts a rather interesting all-wheel drive system, which, unlike most of its competitors, can be fully disengaged very much like an actual truck.
