With all of the cars at an auto show as massive as the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Josh may have sat in half a dozen. So when we spotted him in the Cadillac ATS-V, cameras rolled and questions were asked.
The 2017 Cadillac ATS-V coupe is powered by a 464 horsepower, twin-turbo V6 engine mated to your choice of a 6-speed manual or flappy-paddle 8-speed automatic. These cars aren’t just about horsepower figures – they’re about the drive. Don’t you recall the commercials? The ATS was out to take on the world.
The ATS-V Coupe jets to 60 MPH in just 3.8 seconds and goes on to a top speed of just under 190 MPH. Like the ATS-V, this brute has moves to match. Big brakes, aerodynamics and a focus on lightness. Make no mistake, this is a driver’s car not to be taken lightly.
Following up on Josh’s claim of horsepower gains, we did a little research as to what the aftermarket has done with this car and, no shit, tuners have modified the ATS-V to whip up an astounding 600 horsepower with essentially exhaust work and a tune. BMW M4 owners: watch your mirrors.
Now the question is: Should Josh sell his E92 M3 and buy an ATS-V?
