It has been a few years since I was behind the wheel of an RS7, but when I get the keys to one it is often one of the best vehicles that come to my driveway for the year. The 2024 Audi RS7 is no different. After spending a week with the RS7 I am going to go through all of the best features of this machine and a few that I could do with out. Enjoy the PROs and CONs of the 2024 Audi RS7.
PRO: Horsepower Bump
I last tested the RS7 with the 2021 model. Back then one of my PRO features was “Near 600 Horsepower Power Plant”. With that model, the power was generated from a twin turbo V8 engine providing 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque and as if that wasn’t enough that power got a bump. Now with the 2024 Audi RS7 you get 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.
PRO: The RS-ness
RS Audi modes get all the special stuff. Customizable RS Modes, RS montior screens, and RS models get launch control!
PRO: Beautiful Interior
From corner to corner on the interior you are surrounded in luxury. Last time I tested an RS7 I made up a term, “luxury-per-square-inch” and the ’24 RS7 does not disappoint.
PRO: Quattro All-wheel-drive
Everyone knows that with Audi’s you get an industry benchmarked all-wheel-drive system.
PRO: Addictive Gurgles and Pops
The 4.0 liter V8 creates some addictive gurgles and pops. You will likely annoy your neighbors, but man are the noises addictive.
PRO: Audi Virtual Cockpit
One of the best gauge clusters in the industry. Crisp clear 12.3 inch full digital display upgraded with some special RS bits like I mentioned. You get special RS theme configuration.
CON: Cost
The 2024 Audi RS7 starts at $127,800. The RS7 I tested had plenty boxes checked like the $7650 matte carbon package including special wheels and carbon bits sprinkled about, the $4900 Bang & Olufsen audio system, the $1000 RS sport exhaust, among other features bringing the total to $151,840.
CON: Digital HVAC Controls
Having a secondary digital crisp clear display under your already crisp clear display is really cool, but too much touch is getting to be a bad thing. Somethings on the interior I want to be a knob. Mostly volume, fan control, and temp control.
