Thanks to a reshuffling of trim levels and a shipload of new features, the refreshed Navigator’s starting MSRP now crests over six figures. Lincoln is now accepting orders, with an estimated delivery time of Spring 2025.
The Navigator has proudly stood atop the crow’s nest of the Lincoln lineup since it’s introduction back in 1998. Although based on the Ford Expedition, the Navigator has taken a more luxurious, upscale approach to the full-size SUV market, competing directly with the Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Infiniti QX80, and BMW X7.
2025 will mark the Fifth Generation of the Navigator, although it still isn’t entirely new from the ground-up. Instead, it rides on Ford’s T3 truck platform, first introduced with the 2015 Ford F-150. The powertrain, a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost paired with the 10-speed 10R80 automatic, is also carried over from the previous generation.
On the exterior, the Navigator benefits from an all new grille, hood, headlights with lightbar, front fenders, and rear quarter panels. This design language closely follows the smaller Aviator and Nautilus, providing a masculine, premium look. 24 inch alloy wheels are now available, a first for the Navigator.
Around back, the most immediately noticeable change is the all new Lincoln Split Gate. Previously, the Navigator allowed for the rear window to open independently from the tailgate. This new class exclusive feature allows for easier access to the cargo area and doubles as a bench seat when tailgating or enjoying nature. The lower gate can support up to 500 pounds, and both the upper and lower tailgate can be programmed to automatically open when approached with the key fob.
Lincoln went all-out on the interior refresh for 2025. Called the “Horizon Display”, the all new Navigator features a 48″ wraparound screen powered by Google. The screen is broken down into customizable sections, and when in Park, can even project video and gaming apps. An 11.1″ lower display acts as your control panel, and features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Another new class exclusive is a 40/20/40 power folding third row of seating, giving you the flexibility to haul nearly any combo of cargo and passengers. Lincoln also touts their “First Class Second Row” which can be optioned to feature heated, ventilated, and massaging captains chairs. They are also fully powered to give easy access to the third row. The infotainment system also offers 5G Wireless Hot Spot Connectivity for up to 10 devices.
The Navigator is available in three trim levels and two wheelbases for 2025. Gone is the base model Premiere trim, with the Reserve now becoming the value leader. After destination charges, it stickers for $101,990 before a single option (or premium paint color) which equates to an eye-watering $15,000 price hike compared to the outgoing model. - Wireless Charging Pad
- Adaptive Suspension
