McLaren just released this video teaser of the P1 GTR prior its official debut at the 2015 Geneva motor show. Not only do we get to see the track-only beast turning laps, but it’s sharing the tarmac with its iconic ancestor, the McLaren F1 GTR. Both the McLaren P1 GTR and the F1 GTR sport the same yellow and green Harrods livery and if you’re lucky enough to be in Geneva you can see both of these cars on display at McLaren’s booth.
If everyone in town has a McLaren P1 and you want to be a bit different you can always opt for the P1 GTR. It’s really only a track day toy so you’ll have to trailer it to the track or… whatever, just drive that bitch on the street like a boss. Everyone will know it’s different when they hear the special race exhaust, that big ass wing, wider body and yeah, when they ask you can tell them about the extra 80 horsepower over their run-of-the-mill P1.
The McLaren P1 GTR will be offered as part of a special “Driver Program” where they’ll be offered driver training and McLaren will tailor the program to fit the needs and skills of each owner. This reduces your chance of falling in to the “more money than skill”, category. #SHOULDHAVEDONEANHPDE, anyone?
Enjoy the video!
